MÚSIQUES
RELIGIOSES
DEL MÓN
Músiques Religioses del Món is a concert series for the enjoyment of religious music from all cultures, regardless of the beliefs and ideas of each spectator. A space for reflection on issues that are rarely addressed in secular society and that we find in practically all religions, such as death, forgiveness, eternity, the soul or goodness.
All religions start from a basic premise: that people are imperfect. We become disoriented and repeat the same mistakes over and over again, and therefore we need a voice that often reminds us of the ancient doctrine of good and evil, that structures a routine for forgiveness and enhances our ability to share and esteem. Listening to a complex sacred polyphony or the ancient language of the liturgy puts us in contact with something very ancient and profound, far from our daily reality. Entering a cathedral, a synagogue or a mosque and looking up at the immense space above us reminds us of how tiny we are in this fascinating and mysterious universe, and with this our worries seem insignificant to us too.
